Kitchen tickets

The kitchen prints itself.

An order taken at the table prints in the kitchen a second later. Change it and the kitchen gets the difference, not a reprint to compare by eye.

A ticket the second the order is taken.

Every order becomes a numbered ticket carrying where it came from, so the kitchen never has to ask which table a plate belongs to.

  • Tickets print the moment the order is taken
  • Table, counter and session orders each get their own ticket
  • Every ticket carries its number and its source
  • Printer address, ticket header and buzzer are yours to set

Any thermal printer, and a short setup.

No proprietary hardware to buy from us. Point PlayVerse at the printer already sitting in your kitchen, set the header and the buzzer, and tickets start arriving.

  • Works with a standard thermal receipt printer
  • Printer address, ticket header and buzzer are all yours to set
  • Tickets go out live, not batched at the end of an order

A change prints the difference.

When an order changes, the kitchen gets a second slip showing only what moved. A cook reading it never has to diff two tickets by eye, which is where dropped and doubled dishes come from.

What a modified ticket shows

Added
The item and how many, printed as a new line
Changed
Old quantity and new quantity, side by side
Removed
The item struck through, so it does not get made
Unchanged
Left off the slip entirely — nothing to re-read

You can see whether it actually printed.

A ticket is not done when it is sent. Each one reads pending, printed or failed, so a jammed roll at eight on a Saturday is something you learn from the screen rather than from the customer.

  • Every ticket shows pending, printed or failed
  • A failed ticket keeps its error so it can be sent again
  • The day’s tickets are listed together, newest first
